Redesigned App Dock
The iOS 11 on iPad Pro brings a new dock with 13 icons on the 10.5-inch iPad Pro and 15 icons on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro; as well as 3 extra icons. The Dock is permanent and can be pulled up with an upwards swipe from within any app.
Simply drag a Dock icon upwards and a new window will pop up. You can also use Split View mode but not every app supports the mode. To put an app on the Dock, simply drag an app icon down from your home screen and place it in the dock.
Improved Multitasking Experience
With iOS 11 on iPad Pro you will be able to enjoy an improved multitasking experience. To find new multitasking interface and control center, simply keep swiping up after the dock shows up.
You can also use Slide Over mode by long pressing an app icon and dragging it up. If you can’t find the app you need in app dock, you can press the home button and find the app’s icon on the homescreen. Then, make a long-press on the icon and tap a different icon. Make sure to wait for the icon to float when you make the long press. Your app will then ready in Slide Over mode.
You can also use split screen mode to enjoy two apps at the same time. With iPad Pro, you can also put a third app on top of the other two.
More Useful Apple Pencil
The iOS 11 on iPad Pro allows you use Apple Pencil to quickly markup screenshots and PDF and share them with the new tool called Instant Markup. After taking a screenshot on your iPad Pro, you will see a preview of the screenshot in the bottom-left corner. To enter the Instant Markup mode, tap on the preview. This mode is perfect for quick scrapbooks of ideas. Any tool you need for the screenshot is there for you, from adding shapes, text, signature, Magnifier and more. Get more tool options by tapping the + button. In Instant Markup mode, you can save and quickly share the screenshot.
